Weight: 14st 8lb
Loss so far: –7lb 🎉
The day began early with an hour’s walk round the park with my neighbour. Fresh air, steps toward my bronze award, and a great start to the day. At the office, we had day full of clients booked in and plenty to get through, which is good as it stops ideal hands from snacking. This evening I tuned in to this fortnight’s Slimming World Podcast, another great way to keep me inspired and on track on my journey, I’ve included my insights from the podcast below.

Reflections
Another full and busy day at the centre, with clients supported and steady progress made. We didn’t get much time for lunch so a quick stop at the chippy was a treat, but still on plan by making careful swaps. Evening reflections with a lighter Slimming World meal meant balance was restored. Walking this morning really boosted my energy, and it’s been encouraging to see my Body Magic diary filling up.

🎧 Slimming World Podcast Insight – 264: We’re in it together
This fortnight’s Slimming World Podcast is titled “We’re in it Together”, where Anna and Clare meet Steven Little, Slimming World’s Top Target Consultant 2025. Steven is the first man ever to win the title, having lost an incredible 6st 3lbs in just six months. Even more inspiring, he’s maintained that weight loss for over eight years and now helps others change their lives too.
What really stood out was how Steven spoke about being a member first before becoming a consultant. Slimming World is the only place in the country where you get true peer-to-peer support on your weight loss journey. That sense of walking alongside others, not just being told what to do, but sharing experiences, encouragement, and challenges, makes Slimming World unique.
At its heart, Slimming World is about acceptance. You are welcomed just as you are, wherever you are in your journey, without judgement. Whether you’re stepping on the scales for the first time, starting again after many attempts, or celebrating a milestone, you’re met with encouragement and kindness. That culture of acceptance creates the safety we need to change, not through guilt or pressure, but through belonging.
And that’s the key: Slimming World isn’t only about what you lose, pounds and stones on the scales. It’s about what you gain: support, friendship, laughter, and hope.
This fortnight’s podcast confirmed my own reflections from last week, Rainbows of Support. Just like the rainbow breaking through the storm clouds, Slimming World group is a reminder that we don’t do this alone, we find strength and colour in the support of others.
